Classic Truck/SUV
I rescued this rare ex-California ranch truck FJ45 LV (long wheelbase wagon) last year, and we've been restoring it ever since! When most people "restore" a vintage Land Cruiser, they take a lot of liberties. I mean a LOT. Few (if any?) ever get properly restored in the classic sense of the word- that is, truly RESTORED to the exact same condition they were on the showroom floor when new. Our goal is to create a truly concours quality, 100% correct vehicle using all original Toyota hardware, components, colors, and finishes. A daunting task, as nobody reproduces many of the parts that make an FJ45LV unique. These were hand built vehicles when new, with many special components even when compared with an FJ40 or FJ45 of the same year. As such, we've even had to purchase a parts vehicle solely to harvest original fasteners, hose clamps, and other special parts that will return this truck to truly as-new condition.
What can I say, it is financial suicide but simply a labor of love- and the desire to do something nobody has done before!
